Michael McCarthy resigned after twenty-one years as a reporter and editor for the Wall Street Journal to further his education and to pursue other writing interests.

Born and raised in St. Louis, he recently completed a Master's Degree in creative writing at DePaul University in Chicago.

The Sun Farmer is his first book.
